CFD 11 PD Diseno-tanqueIn this project, the purpose was to optimize the layout of some venturi injectors for oxygen dissolution and at the same time to achieve a good mixture of the chemical compounds in the medium. D&B Tecnología also drew upon the CFD tool to verify the proposed solution.

La simulación realizada permite visualizar con detalle el flujo originado por las hélices, así como el vórtice descendente que se forma en la interfase, incluyendo detalles como la rotura del mismo.

Nowadays, D&B Tecnología is involved in an important collaborative project aimed to improve functioning in agitated bioreactors which are commonly used in the cosmetic, plastics, food and pharmaceutical industries.

The innovative design which has been made with the help of CFD technique and later experimentally validated, achieves a better distribution in the gas phase inside the reactor. Thus it is possible to obtain a better yielding in a wider range of operating conditions.

CFD 8 PD DiagnosisIn this project, D&B Tecnología took charge of identifying the causes of an inefficient mixture process in a tank with an effective capability of 4040 m3.

D&BTech carefully modeled the mixing tank and performed a simulation in transitory regime along a complete functioning period, including the multiphasic model, necessary for a full study of the mixing process.
